Do white hair causes your head to itch?

My mother plucks out the white strands of hair off her head (well, she makes me do it for her) because she says it itches a lot. Is that at all possible?! Or is my mother just using that as an excuse to rid her white hair just so she would'nt seem and feel old (she's like in her early 40's). And if you start getting rid of those white strands of hair would more start growing?

And also, I've tried giving her them anti-itch shampoo and conditioners but she won't take them. She thinks that they won't do any better.

Help! I wanna know if this is true or not! coz its pissing me off! i cant be assed to pluck her effin hair out! ***** waste of time!

oh, and what causes you to have white hair anyway? other than aging... would stress be another reason why that happens?

I know white hair doesnt itch cause I am around your mothers age and my hair is turning white too. She probably thinks it makes her look old. Try getting one of those hair dyes or rinses for grey and give her that instead of anti-itch shampoos. tell her eventually she will get thin hair from all the pulling, it just grows back white, losing battle ya know , Hope I helped

i've never heard of the itch thing, plus if u bought the shampoo for her and she aint using it, thats the sign u need to see that she just doesnt want the gray hairs... and every single person i've heard it from says if u pluck a gray 2 will grow back... if shes in her forty's and has some,she should be happy, thats nothing!!! i've seen people go really gray by early 30's.... plus its all about the genes i did a sceince proj on it long ago, its called melatonin (prob not spelled right) but thats in your genes and that chemical keeps your hair its normal color...... hope this helps

I get grey hairs on my forehead...near my scalp. And I would swear they grow an inch at a time. I can feel them popping out of my head sometimes late at night. One day my grey-hair breeding ground will be clean and the next...poof, 2 hairs, 3 inches long. Its astonishing.

BTW they do itch sometimes, if you can imagine something burrowing out of your head at that speed.

sounds bogus to me, i have always believed if you pluck on gray two will grow back in its spot, buy her some hair dye maybe that will solve her problem
