my hair color isvery dark black. i want to highlight it , but the slone lady said, we have to bleach it first to take the black out first. BUT i have heard that bleaching hair is fine at first but later those hair turn to white hair. i don't want white hair and don't want to HAVE to go tosalon to fix my hair. but at the same time i want something new with my hair. so what should i do . is there any product in cvs, gaint, which i could use and has no amoni. and i shouldn't have to bleach my hair . i know im talking about imposible thing but maybe someone here might know something. :) thanks in advance

Bleaching your hair will not make it turn white.

if you leave it in waay too long, then it will get very thin and easily break, but not completly turn it white.

the only way to make hair go white, besides nautrally, is to bleach it, then use a lavander colored toner in it.

Just go to the salon, I don't think you should try to do it yourself because highlighting black hair is tricky.

IF YOU WANT TO GET THE BLACK OUT DYE YUR HAIR RED ITS THE BEST HAIRCOLOR TO TAKE BLACK OFF BUT FOR BLEACHING IT I DONT RECCOMEND FOR YURSELF TO TRY THAT GO WITH A PRO AND IT WONT TURN WHITE BECAUSE WELL IT DEPENDS HOW LONG YOU LEAVE THE BLEACH IN THERE IT GOS FROM ORANGE TO YELLOW TO LIGHTER IT DEPENDS ON YOU HOW LIGHT YOU WANT IT

umm first of all your hair lady is dumb!! I have very black hair as well and i have gotten my hair highlighted plenty of times and NEVER used bleach in it for the other color to take effect!! about the turning white thing...never heard that. Get a new hairdresser or go a beauty supply store they could help!

no bleaching doesn't turn your hair white, unless you want it to, in which case you would leave it on for a very long time.

i'm sorry but that is kind of a stupid question. obviously when girls bleach their hair to be blonde, it doesn't turn white later on.

and if you want highlights, yes you will have to bleach your hair, so i'm not sure what you mean by you shouldn't have to.
