Yellow white hair?

I put a blond lightener into my hair and it has come up really yellow.parts of my hair are white blonde.I could go and get a purple toner but I tried that before and it actually stuck to the white parts of my hair leaving it purple in the past.I could also put an ash blonde in it but the last time I done that it turned the white parts green.I dont want to go and darken it again so have you any good advice for me.(Besides not messing with hair colour) Thanks

You should go to a licensed beautician.

I've done something like that before. You could go to the salon and get a couple low-lights that make the light blonde blend in really well with the dark. If you dont want to go to a salon you could always go buy one of those box highlighting things but i'd be careful with that! Make sure to stay away from the sun, it'll turn it even lighter

First might i suggest that no one ever try to highlight their own hair - go to a hairdresser to do it. No matter how easy those kits say they are etc... unless you know what you are doing it will not bode well.

What probably happened is that the ends of your hair are whiter than the rest - that is because that hair is probably dry and or damaged and you have stripped all the color out - the rest (depending on what color your hair naturally is and if you had already colored it before ) is why your hair turned yellow. For example if you have brown hair that pulls to the red side you will pull red/copper highlights - if your hair is ash brown you will pull blond. - I would suggest going to a hair dresser to have the issue addressed - or I would at least say go to a good beauty supply store that carrys artec shampo and conditioner and buy one that is close to the shade of hair you want I believe there is one called Irish Creme that is a neutral blond ash color that could tone your hair down.

As a formerly licensed cosmetologist....your best bet is to go with a bleach. Just make sure you keep it on your hair long enough to get through the red stage. Also, if you are going to be putting it directly onto the scalp, make sure you get bleach designed for that. Most over-the-counter bleaches are designed for highlighting ie. pulling through a cap, foiling, streaking.

If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, seek the help of a professional. Just be sure to tell them as closely as possible exactly what you used on your hair and what, if anything, you've done to fix the problem.

Cosmetologist are not miracle workers. They can only do so much!
