Help on white hair dye?

I've been wanting to dye my hair white for a while, but I dont know how, or where to get the stuff. I heard bleach kills your hair and stuff and I dont want my hair to get murdered. I'm also afraid that if I go to a professional they'll charge me a ton to get it done in sessions. I've worn a white wig before and people say I look cool in it, I thought so too, and goes with my skin tone (Im very pale...). Anyone have sugestions on what I should do?? I want the most effective result without spending a ton of money...

Though it's been about 10 yrs, I seriously looked into doing the same. I was told then (by hair pro's) that it's impossible to get a true 'white' color. Bleach will just give you that almost-white, yellowish color (which I think looks messed up). Best to go back to a wig until or unless your hair someday goes white all on it's own. (I'm halfway there, at age 52! :)

about bleaching, it depends what type of hair you have. one of my friends has real healthy hair, and she had bleached her hair last semester. we all thought that her hair was gonna get damaged, but it did not change a bit. actually, it turned out pretty good.

anyway, if you have dark to dark brown hair, a bleaching is what you gonna need. if your hair is already light brown or blond or something, then you can just go for a dye.

i mean, the worse that could happen is that your hair comes out a different color, but then you can just dye it back.

If you go to a professional, it won't cost anymore than say, getting your hair colored red, black, whatever, AND it will only take one visit just as with other colors,,,,,,ya wanna be cheap, thats what you'll get,,,,,i know you've heard the saying,,,,, you get what you pay for.

It seems pretty obvious to me...DON'T DO IT!!! Why do you not want people to see who you really are? Are you that low on self esteem? You don't need to do something drastic to get people to notice you. Be what you are...who you are...being dishonest won't get you anywhere but more confused. God gave you what you have for a reason. Be proud of yourself, and have the good sense to stand up and do your best with what you have. Besides...putting chemicals on your body, or in it for that matter does nothing good.
