Does sadness cause white hair?

I seem to notice a lot more white hair on my head after everytime I get majorly bummed and depressed and generally sad. Is there a relation between sadness and white hair, or is this my imagination?

of course there is a relationship. but in addition it may be relates to genetic heritage

I graduated nursing school at age 32, single mom of 4 kids w/youngest age 4 ; I already had lots of grey....I read that age and dryness causes hair to turn, but I do believe it's due to major stress and yes, sadness too
