I'm not sure how they do it can you help me?

The "Emo chicks" have very white hair...and I wanna get mine done like that but how...and about how much would it cost?

pure bleach. you have to leave it on and let it process for a long time. my suggestion would be to go to a salon. they will know what is best and they will make it look perfect.

Go to a salon! Just make sure they know what you want! And make sure you don't get an old lady stylist who hates scene kids! Ask the stylist how much it would cost before they do it, and make sure they know what you want or you'll end up with orange hair b/c they didnt know that that wasnt the blonde you wanted!

lol i have to admit, i pretty much just looked at this because i thought it was a joke. hahah but anyways, im sure a hair stylist can dye it white for you. or platinum blonde if thats what youre talking about. i beg everyone who asks this kind of question not to do the home dye kit things. that is not okay unless you are over 50. it looks gross no matter how good you do it.

I've done it to several of my friends. I'm a self-proclaimed hairstylist.. LOL! I have two methods. I usually do the second to keep the hair from being totally f*cked.

1)

The "platinum in one day" method. (not recommended unless you don't mind fried hair)

Okay first, go to sally's beauty or something like that and ask for a BLUE based bleach powder. Then you need to get a volume 40 AND 20(20 for toner) developer and a PLATINUM blonde toner and a deep conditioner. Mix the powder with the 40 developer (equal amounts) and apply. I usually only leave it on for 30 minutes to prevent the hair being totally fried. Then after you've waited 30 minutes for your hair to bleach, it should be yellowish. Rinse it and use a cheap shampoo. Dry it w/ a towel. After its dry, it should look pretty weird. Okay, now you need to mix the vol.20 developer%26amp;toner (also equal amounts) and leave in for about 25-30 minutes or longer depending on if it's the color you want or not. Then rinse and deep condition.

Here's my second method.. It's better for your hair but takes 3 days total. I'd suggest doing it on the weekend.

2) Buy a blue based bleach powder, volume 25 AND 15 developer, deep conditioner, and a platinum blonde toner. Mix the bleach and 25 developer(equal amounts) and apply %26amp; leave for 45 minutes to an hour. Once you are done, rinse and apply deep conditioner. Wait til the next day to do anything else. Repeat the steps above for day 2 but don't condition it. Wait one more day then mix the volume 15 developer with the toner (equal amounts) and leave in for 45 minutes to an hour. Then deep condition again.

If you don't achieve the color you wanted, go to a stylist, your hair is already screwed.
